Rowena joined LUA in 2005 as Urology Nurse Practitioner. She completed her 4 year Nursing Diploma in South Africa in 1995. She then gained 4 years of experience in acute surgical nursing and casualty work in private care before moving to the UK. Rowena started work as a registered nurse at the Princess Grace Hospital, before attaining Senior Staff Nurse post on the urology ward. Rowena then took the post of Urology Clinic Nurse Specialist and began working closely with LUA consultants during this time. She also achieved her BSc(Hons) in Urological Nursing at Southbank University. After starting in the post at LUA she has continued to develop her career. Rowena now works independently and has the qualifications and experience to assess patients when needed, provide up-to-date information and advice and support her colleagues. She is also an independent nurse prescriber.

Deidre joined LUA in 2009 as an Urology Nurse. She completed her 4 years Bachelors Degree in Nursing in South Africa in 1997. Following her training she worked as a midwife for 3 years before moving to the UK. Over the last 7 years she has developed her career in surgical nursing at the Spire Hospital in Manchester gaining experience in urology among other disciplines. She has attended numerous courses and study days to keep her professional development updated.
