William Farr Medal awarded to Professor Mark Emberton
Professor Emberton was awarded the medal at the Galen Dinner which recently took place at the Society of Apothecaries, London. His acceptance speech highlighted the advances being made at UCLH with regards to diagnosis and treatment of early prostate cancer.
The William Farr Medal is given to medical practitioners who have made a particularly signitifant contribution in clinically related or research discipline to the management of elderly people as part of the original work in the UK. The Worshipful Society of Apothecaries of London acknowledges innovations in the care of the elderly particularly from those in the middle of their career.
