Area of expertise: Urological malignancy, robotic and laparoscopic surgery

Chris Ogden is a Consultant Urologist at The Royal Marsden Hospital NHS Trust. His specific interests lie in urological malignancy, ileo-orthotopic bladder substitution following radical cystectomy for invasive bladder cancer in men and women. This research has led to the discovery of novel genes preferentially expressed in bladder and prostate cancer that may prove to be both a diagnostic and a therapeutic target. Chris has also been involved in the monoclonal targeting of oncological tumors in terms of staging urological malignancies and their treatment. His thesis was in the development of microwave technology for the treatment of prostatic disorders. He has also been involved in the investigation of the role of dentritic cell response in bladder cancer.
