Ken Anson

Area of Expertise: Urinary stone disease, upper tract endoscopy and benign prostatic hyperplasia

Ken Anson is a Consultant Urologist and Honorary Senior Lecturer at St. George's Hospital, London, and Consultant Urologist to Queen Mary's University Hospital, Roehampton. His main subspecialisation is in the management of urinary stone disease and he has a clinical interest in the management of benign prostatic hyperplasia.

Ken is currently Secretary of the BAUS Section of Endourology, Chair of the SWLDU (South West London Department of Urology) Steering Group and Chair of the Postgrad course at EAU on Interventional Therapies in BPH. He is a reviewer for the British Journal of Urology, European Urology and Urology. He is involved in a number of studies at St Georges hospital including Catheter Related Urinary Tract Infections, Novel Imaging Techniques of the Pelvicalyceal System, Use of IT for Implantable Medical Devices and the Use of Ureteric Stents in Malignant Disease.

Ken is a keen teacher and is a regular faculty member of the British Association of Urological Surgeons skills courses in rigid and flexible upper tract endoscopy and also regularly lectures and demonstrates on the Advanced Stone Management Course at the Royal College of Surgeons.
